Our Mission

We’re on a mission to make low-sodium, kidney-friendly cooking look easy! When my son was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome and FSGS, we had to completely change the way we think about sodium and cooking in general. We also had to say goodbye to most restaurants and processed foods, which seemed like a huge challenge at the time. If you feel the same way, I’ve been there and understand that it’s a lot to process. Not only are you learning about kidney disease, but you’re also now having to navigate what to cook.

In 2021, I had to make the decision to cook everything I could to ensure my son was getting the healthiest meals for his scarring kidneys. I want to share what we’ve learned, help you and your family learn how to cook some really delicious dishes, and grow our kidney-friendly community.

I hope to help make your kidney-friendly food journey as delightful as your favorite dish.
